Support for the ups and downs of life
What is Counselling & Psychotherapy?
Counselling and psychotherapy provide a safe, supportive space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
Counselling often focuses on your current challenges and practical steps forward.
Psychotherapy explores deeper patterns and past experiences that shape your present.
In practice, these approaches overlap. Both aim to help you gain clarity, build resilience, and create meaningful change in your life.
“Therapy is not about fixing who you are—it’s about understanding who you’ve become, and who you want to be.”

Why seek Counselling & Psychotherapy?
People come to therapy for many reasons—sometimes to manage stress, anxiety, or low mood, and other times to navigate relationships, transitions, or a sense of being stuck.
Therapy can help you to:
✅ Understand and manage difficult emotions
✅ Develop healthier coping strategies
✅ Recognize and change unhelpful patterns
✅ Improve communication and confidence
✅ Strengthen self-worth and self-care
✅ Feel more balanced, grounded, and resilient
Counselling and psychotherapy are not quick fixes, but pathways to lasting personal growth and emotional wellbeing.

How do sessions work?
I offer one-to-one remote therapy sessions (via Zoom or Teams), each lasting around an hour. Sessions can be: one off consultations, short term focussed work or longer-term therapy at a pace that suits you.
In your first session it is usual for me to ask questions about you, your life, your hopes for therapy and to answer any questions you may have.. It’s natural to feel nervous—my role is to help you feel comfortable and supported.
As an integrative therapist, I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches to meet your individual needs. Sessions may focus on immediate issues or unfold into deeper exploration over time—always guided by your goals and preferences. I tailor sessions to support you in gaining perspective and understanding of how you think, feel, and behave and of how you approach difficulties in life so that you can develop strategies enabling you to live well.
